Start With The Starter

Another of our goals as a family is to eat healthier. One way to do that is bread. I dont like to eat store bought bread and we dont really make our own bread because brewers yeast makes me ill. S

Time To Sew

My parents were so thoughtful to take me to the fabric store and let me choose supplies to make a project for my birthday gift. I went through all my craft books and decided on one thing. My goal is to finish it in time for my birthday. Drop by on the 16th to see the results!

Brotherly Love

Sometimes I wonder if my 3 year old son doesn't realize their is new baby in the family but when Oliver cries he is quick to remind me that he needs some milk and quick to say "Sorry baby Oliver" if he gets a little too loud when he plays. Other then that and the occasional pat on the head he is seems content to let Oliver do his baby things while he does those kid things. Its difficult to capture them together on camera. Sabeian loves to run and hide when I bring out the camera (doesn't every boy?!) This time I was lucky. Sabeian asked if he could hold baby Oliver (it would seem that is his full name, no one can say Oliver without adding the baby in front! I guess that will change when he is no longer a baby....) I managed to get a couple pictures of the two together and they are some of my favorite. A glimpse of that brotherly relationship these two boys are going to share in the near future. There is just something about little boys. I love my girl but for some odd reason it is easier for me to picture more boys in our family then it is to see another girl! I guess only time will tell. One thing I know for sure is I love having 3 kids so much and I know our family is not yet complete ( but we will worry about that in a few years from now :) Right now I love being able to say we are a family of five!

The New Year

Last night Gavin and I spent the evening making posters, reminders of our goals for the new year. That alone is more progress compared to the previous years! Sometimes it would be a week into the new year before I even wrote down my resolutions. This year I thought I would get that taken care of. I noticed that my goals sadly are the same over and over again because I never successfully see them through. I often tend to forget what they are as well. Not this year. With several posters plastered to the wall in various rooms around the house, staring us in the face 24/7 No more excuses! Only progression! (I love that word:) Some are nicer then others but I'm not too concerned about beauty and creativity only getting it done! So here's to paper, tape and the somewhat addictive smell of permanent black markers!
